Hiding or locking stages prevent your prospects from accessing specific stages until they are made visible.

You might want to use these features when:

  • you prefer to add a layer of security before prospects have access to confidential information (e.g. Prospects sign an NDA before being granted access to view the following Stages);

  • you want to be specific about how your prospects interact with a flow and ensure they access the Stages as intended.

How to Lock a Stage

  • Next to the stage you'd like to lock, click on the eye symbol .

  • Click on the lock symbol .

What happens after I lock a Stage?

  • For the flow viewer, the stage is visible but greyed out. They can see it exists, but can't access its contents.

How do I Hide a Stage?

  • Next to the stage you'd like to hide, click on the eye symbol .

  • Click on the closed eye symbol .

What happens after I hide a Stage?

  • For the flow viewer, the stage is not visible anymore. They can't see it exists.

How do I unlock/unhide a Stage?

  • Manually: Once your prospect completes the stages, you can click on the lock/ closed eye symbol, and then select Visible.

Automatically - Set Rule: Make the stage visible after the actions from the previous stage are completed.

❗Set rules to unhide/ unlock stage

We can't track the outcome of some actions which require leaving Flowla platform. This means some actions are marked as complete, but your intended outcome might not be completed.

For example, Go to URL is a very general action. If your URL is a link to a document signing platform (e.g. DocuSign, PandaDoc, etc), the action is marked as complete as soon as your prospect accesses the link. We can't track if the document was indeed signed.
